Lizzie Carmichael graduated from W&J College in 2024 with a B.A. in International Studies. She ended a ten year volleyball career there at the NCAA Division III level, as a starting middle blocker all 4 years in college and a team captain for 2. She also spent time as a Track and Field athlete in high school and college. She played at Wyoming High School in Cincinnati, OH where she still holds the all-time blocking record. She also played club for 5 years at the National Elite level at NKJV. 

She currently lives in downtown Columbus and works as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Community Development for All People on the South Side of the city. She enjoys reading, live music, baking (especially for her volleyball family), and being outside - hiking and paddle boarding! 

This year will be Lizzie's first year coaching at Buckeye, but she spent the 2024 season coaching a 13u Regional team at Ohio Valley Volleyball Company and is very excited to continue her coaching pursuits in her home state!
