From U14-U18, Ellie played at the Open level in the Cincinnati area and went on to play two seasons at West Georgia (NCAA Div II) as the starting libero.

She has an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering from Ohio State and an MA in Sustainability from Xavier University.

Ellie is employed as an Environmental Professional for Marathon Petroleum Company and lives in Victorian Village with her two cats, Bons and Harry, and dog Jerri
